Located at the Brixton Beer Garden, Glace Bay Bike Rentals offers an exciting way to experience this part of the Island. Ride The Coal Town Trail that extends 13 km from Tower Road in Glace Bay through Dominion to the Gardner. Along this rail to trail system, that was used to collect coal from the mining communities, you will ride along a brook, walking park, through downtown Glace Bay, a dam that offers sport fishing, ocean views in Dominion, with forest and farms to reach the Gardner.

 

Along the way you can stop at one of the area’s most popular beaches, Dominion, enjoy the outdoor patio The Sandbar, treat yourself to local Cape Breton pastries at Sweet Side of the Moon and finish you afternoon at the Brixton Beer Garden for a local brew, where you will return the bikes. Various well known museums can fill in your time before you have a great meal at one of the areas best restaurants, the Brixton or a bite the outdoor beer garden where you can listen to local live music on the weekends.
